THE FILM ‘SHIFTING THE NARRATIVE’ IS A SERIES OF VIDEO PORTRAITS OF BLACK MALE FASHION PROFESSIONALS. NINE VIDEO PORTRAITS WERE MADE IN WHICH THE VIEWER GETS TO KNOW THE PROFESSIONALS AND THEIR PLACE IN THE INDUSTRY. IN SYNC WITH THE FILM, WE PRESENT A PERFORMANCE BY DANCER JEFFREY LOEWENICHT IN WHICH HE EXPRESSES HIMSELF ABOUT HOW THE BLACK MAN IN FASHION CAN FEEL. IN THE PERFORMANCE YOU SEE THE BATTLE HE WAGES WITH HIMSELF AND IN RELATION TO THIS WORLD. BUT IT ALSO SHOWS A CELEBRATION OF THE VICTORIES AND BREAKTHROUGHS HE EXPERIENCES.
